Carl Cox has announced that he will play three parties under the name One Night Stand in Ibiza this summer, including dates at Amnesia, Pacha and DC-10. He has already been announced to spin on select dates at Privilege for Resistance.
The British icon confirmed to DJ Mag that these will be his only appearances on the White Isle this summer.
The three events will be with the Game Over promoter he did the Pure Carl Cox Ibiza parties with last year, under the new name One Night Stand. The first of these is on Monday 2nd July at Amnesia, the second on Tuesday 10th July at Pacha and the final a DC-10 takeover on Friday 10th August.
“In my early days of playing Ibiza it wasn’t alien for me to play all the clubs,” Cox told DJ Mag. “Pacha, Amnesia, DC-10 and some of the smaller clubs.
“I had the opportunity to do my own night at Space and define my sound in one club. After being there for nearly 20 years, it’s nice to be able to share the love of what I’ve done at Space with some of the other clubs.”
Speaking about working with Game Over on the One Night Stand parties, Cox told DJ Mag, “It’s clear with the success I’ve had with the team on the two Pure nights that we work really well together. That’s what’s lead me to work with these guys and move forward with what they want to do on the island.”
Cox made his long-awaited return to the White Isle at Privilege last July in a golden hour of the club’s rich history. It was the first time he played on the island following Space Ibiza’s last ever closing party in 2016.
